Jata Craighill

I love to work in watercolor and am inspired by the landscapes that I encounter. Watercolor is immediate and spontaneous and, as a medium, participates in the outcome of every piece. The greatest challenge is capturing the beauty in the landscapes as I see it. The mountains and coastal plains of the East Coast offer endless opportunities to reveal those discoveries through my work. It is not only the locations that impact my work but also the seasons that these locations showcase and how to capture the grace and beauty of their uniqueness.
